Privacy Policy.
Plain words about the little information this website collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Who we are
This website presents Al Agha (الآغا) Tahini and Halawa, made in Lebanon. In this policy, “Al Agha”, “we” and “us” mean the business behind the Al Agha brand, which decides how the information described here is used.
What we collect
Information you send us
When you use the contact form, we receive what you type into it:
- your full name and email address (required);
- your phone number, if you choose to give it;
- the type of inquiry you select, and your message.
Please do not include sensitive information, such as health or payment details, in your message.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Like most websites, the server that hosts this site records basic technical details of each visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. These logs are kept by our hosting provider for security and to keep the site running.
- Spam protection. To stop automated abuse of the contact form, we keep a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address together with the times you sent a message. It cannot easily be turned back into your IP address and is deleted automatically after a short period (about ten minutes by default).
- One security cookie. The contact form uses a single, strictly necessary session cookie. See our Cookie Policy.
This website does not use analytics, advertising or social-media tracking, and it does not load fonts or scripts from other companies.
How we use it
- to read and answer your inquiry, using the contact details you provided;
- to protect the contact form and the website from spam, abuse and attacks;
- to meet our legal obligations, where they apply.
We use your information because you asked us to respond to you, and because we have a legitimate interest in keeping the website secure. We do not use it for marketing unless you ask us to, and we never sell it.
Who we share it with
Your message reaches us by email. To make that possible, it passes through the companies that host this website and deliver our email, who act on our instructions. We may also disclose information when the law requires it. We do not share your information with anyone else.
Some of these providers may store or process information outside Lebanon. Where that happens, we expect them to protect it with appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry emails only for as long as we need them to deal with your request and any follow-up conversation, and then delete them. Spam-protection records expire automatically within minutes, and the security cookie ends when you close your browser. Server logs are kept according to our hosting provider’s schedule.
Security
The contact form checks every message on the server, rejects requests that do not come from this website, limits how often messages can be sent, and never shows our email address in the page’s code. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you send us.
Your choices and rights
You can choose not to use the contact form. If you have contacted us, you can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under data protection law, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
To make a request, write to us through the contact form and choose “Other”.

This website links to WhatsApp (operated by Meta) and to our web designer’s website. When you follow those links, the other company’s own privacy policy applies, and we are not responsible for how it handles your information.
Children
This website is meant for a general audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If the website changes the way it handles information, we will update this policy and the date at the top of the page.
